Maple chicken

Maple chicken offers a rich option for dinner. It has both a sweet and filling nature. Four spices are listed in the ingredients, but you can remove some or add others as you see fit for this recipe. Also, feel free to experiment by adding something such as red peppers.

This maple chicken breast recipe serves 4 stomachs.

The total amount of time needed for both preparation and cooking comes to about 80 minutes (may take slightly longer if your oven needs a long time to heat up to the proper temperature).

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts
Salt, amount as preferred
Ground black pepper, amount as preferred
1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1/4 tsp. sage
1 medium onion, sliced
Water, for cooking

Directions

Mix together salt, pepper, and flour in a bowl or bag. Run the chicken through this breading mixture to cover it well. Place the chicken and margarine in a casserole dish and allow them to cook until the chicken is golden.

Next, drizzle the maple syrup on top of the poultry. Distribute the spices evenly throughout the dish, and place the onion slices evenly on top of the pieces of meat. Pour in enough water so that the bottom of the dish is covered. Allow the meal to bake in the oven, heated to 350 Fahrenheit, for an amount of time between 50 and 60 minutes. It is recommended to baste the recipe once in a while with juices from the casserole dish.
