While making this recipe firstly we need to make flour dough and then we need to make stuffing ( includes chicken, ginger garlic paste, spring onion, white onion, sauce, salt, etc ) then the flour dough is divided into small parts, and then from the small parts make a small round sheet and then add chicken stuffing into it and give momo shape and then steam it and then half fry into the pan with some sauces ( schezwan sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, and soya sauce ).

 Ingredients needed to make chicken pan-fried momo recipe

  • 250-gram minced chicken breast.
  • 1 cup flour.
  • 1 small cup chopped spring onion.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste.
  • 1 big-size white onion finely chopped.
  • 2 ½  teaspoon soya sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes.
  • 2 teaspoon schezwan sauce.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of tomato sauce.
  • Cooking oil ( as required ).
  • Water ( as required ).
  • Salt ( as per taste ).

The process of making chicken pan-fried momo recipe

  • First, take one large bowl and then add flour, salt ( as per taste ) and 1 teaspoon oil and mix it nicely before adding water, after that add water and make a soft dough and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes by covering.
  • Now heat the pan on medium flame and add ½ tablespoon oil into it then add minced chicken and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes saute it in between.
  • After that remove the chicken into a plate and rest for 5 to 6 minutes or until it cools.
  • Now add the chicken into the bowl, then add half a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste,  chopped white onion, spring onion, chili flakes,  1 ½ teaspoons of soya sauce, and salt ( as per taste ) and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now firstly add water into the steamer and keep it on medium flame, then flour dough divided into small parts and then from the small parts make a small round sheet and then add chicken stuffing into it and give momo shape and then steam it into steamer for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Now heat the pan and add half a tablespoon of oil and once the oil is getting then add a tablespoon of chopped onion, and ½ tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • After that add schezwan sauce, tomato sauce, soya sauce, and salt as per taste and mix it well now add steamed momos and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes on medium-high flame.
  • Switch off the flame and remove it to a plate, your pan-fried chicken momos is ready to serve. Serve it with tomato ketchup or tomato sauce.

Tips to make the perfect recipe

  • Schezwan sauce is spicier so while using this in the recipe as per your taste preferences means if you like more spicy then add more and if you don’t like more spicy then add less.
  • You can replace chili flakes with black pepper powder.

Serving suggestions

  • Serve this delicious and tasty chicken pan-fried momos with tomato sauce, mayonnaise chutney etc.
