This is a post about how to make chicken curry at home and of course, chicken curry is easy to make. This recipe not only tastes delicious but is full of flavors with soft and succulent pieces of chicken. This amazing curry I have tasted in the restaurant for the first time and it was like a party in my mouth means it tastes absolutely delicious and spicy and I fall in love with this recipe and I am crazy for this chicken curry. This recipe I learned from my father and my father is an expert in these recipes. So in this post, I have shared how to make chicken curry at home with a delicious and spicy taste. In the chicken curry normally use chicken tights or chicken breast but I use chicken breast for making chicken curry recipe.

What Spices Used In Chicken Curry
  • Sesame seeds.
  • Cumin seeds.
  • Green cardamom.

Ingredients Needed To Make Chicken Curry
  • ½ kg chicken breast pieces.
  • 1 ½  cup onion (chopped).
  • ½ cup tomatoes (puree) (desseded).
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste.
  •  1 cup of coconut milk.
  • 3 tablespoon coriander leaves (chopped).
  • Salt (as required).
  • Water (if needed).
  • Oil (as required).
Whole Spices Needed To Make Chicken Gravy
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds.
  • 4 teaspoon cumin seeds.
  • 3 cinnamon.
  • 1-star anise.
  • 4-5 cloves.
  • 1 black cardamom.
  • 3 green cardamom.
 Spices Powder Used In Chicken Curry
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon garam masala.
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder.

Step By Step Instruction To Make Chicken Curry
  1. Firstly take one pan and heat it on medium-high flame once the pan is hot then add all whole spices sesame seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, black cardamom, and green cardamom and roast all the spices for 2 minutes and remove roasted spices in blender and make a fine paste of all spices and keep aside.
  2. Then take a chicken breast and wash it and then make a bite-size piece of chicken breast.
  3. Then take one pan and add oil once the oil is hot then add onion and sauté it until onion turns in smoothly golden brown color then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder and mix all the powder spices and the add whole spices powder sauté it for 2-3 minutes then add chicken and sauté it until it turns white in color then add tomato puree, coconut oil, salt and water If required (mix all the mixture well) and cover it.
  4. Cook the chicken in coconut milk and water for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked then sprinkle coriander leaves on curry and serve it.

Serving Suggestions :
Serve this delicious recipe with plain rice, jeera rice, naan, roti, paratha.

Tips To Make Chicken Curry
  1. You can also use chicken stock instead of water.
  2. You can make this curry creamy by adding cream.
  3. You can use cashews or almonds paste for making the gravy thicker.
