Chicken Manchurian is a simple recipe and it is easy
to make with some simple steps. In this recipe, you can add the spices as per
your taste and preferences and you can give own twist to make this chicken
Manchurian more delicious. This Manchurian is a favorite in my family and I
made this recipe frequently for my family. I have made this recipe much time
but I failed but after a few trials, I
succeed in this recipe and I made this recipe for my family when they have a
mood to eat chicken Manchurian.
About Chicken Manchurian
Manchurian is a Chinese dish but the chicken
Manchurian is not an authentic Chinese dish because it is admixture food from
Indian Chinese cuisine which is developed by using Chinese seasoning, spices,
and cooking methods. Indian cuisine has own Chinese version which is known as
desi Chinese. Chicken Manchurian is famous for the starter recipe and this
recipe is comfortable for all the age groups. Chicken Manchurian has different
variations some peoples or in restaurants use cubed chicken breast and some
people use minced chicken breast to make Manchurian balls. So I use minced
chicken breast to make Manchurian. This is one of the Indo Chinese dishes which
easy to make and ready in a few minutes.

Ingredients To Make Chicken Manchurian
Ingredients for Manchurian balls
- 500 grams of boneless chicken breast (minced).
- 1 teaspoon pepper powder.
- 2 teaspoon soya sauce.
- 1 egg (egg white).
- ½ teaspoon chili powder.
- Pinch of turmeric powder.
- 4 tablespoon cornflour.
- 2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
- Salt ( as required).
- Oil (for frying).
- ½ tablespoon mustard oil.
Ingredients for Manchurian Sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoon Soy sauce.
- ½ tablespoon Green chili sauce.
- 2 tablespoon red chili powder.
- 2 ½ tablespoon Tomato sauce
- 2 red onions (chopped).
- 3 teaspoon vinegar.
- 2 cup of chicken stock.
- 1 cup capsicum (diced).
- 1 cup cornflour and water mixture( 4 tbsp cornflour and 6 tbs water for ½ kg ).
- 2 teaspoon sugar.
- 2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste.
- 1 small cup Chopped spring onions.
- ½ tablespoon oil.
Step By Step Instruction For Making Chicken
Manchurian
Preparing for chicken Manchurian balls:
- Firstly take one large ball and in a bowl add minced the chicken then add mix pepper powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, soy sauce, mustard oil.
- Then add egg white, cornflour and mix it well and keep aside for 1 hour.
- Then take one pan heat the pan on medium flame and add oil in the pan once the oil is hot then take a chicken mixture and make small balls (Manchurian balls).
- If you don’t get round balls then take a small section of chicken mixture and slide in hot oil (apply this process for all chicken mixture) fry all Manchurian balls.
Preparing for the Manchurian sauce :
- Now we will turn to the sauce, take one large bowl to add soy sauce, red chili sauce, green chili sauce, tomato sauce keep aside.
- Then take one pan and add oil once oil is hot then add ginger garlic paste sauté it for minutes then add capsicum and fry for 2 minutes.
- Then add sauce mixture stir for a minute then add chicken stock and cornflour stir it for few minutes then add salt and cook until gravy begins bubbled and thickness.
- Remove the pan from heat and add chicken Manchurian balls in gravy and cover the balls in gravy.
- Garnish the chicken Manchurian with spring onion and serve it immediately.

What To Serve With Chicken Manchurian
Fried rice, Paratha, Pan-fried noodles, Hakka noodles.
