The chicken paprika name would imply that it is a spicy flavor dish and its origins in Hungary this dish is called “Paprikas Csirke”  so the tradition of this dish in Hungary. But some people make experiment while preparing the dish means they add tomatoes, more or less paprika (as per theirs spice level taste), more or less sour cream so feels free to make an experiment to meet your taste needs. So in this recipe, you can make changes as per your taste.

This recipe is spicy, juicy and creamy made with chicken breast, paprika, plain flour, black pepper, bell peppers, onion, chicken broth, sour cream, salt, oil. In this recipe firstly chicken is roast with some oil in pan and then in the add onion and bell pepper stir and mix well and cook it for 5 minutes by covering lid then add paprika, plain flavor, chicken broth, salt and add chicken in it and cook it for 30 to 34 minutes and serve it with rice or noodles.

Ingredients To Make Chicken Paprika
  • 4 parts of boned chicken breast.
  • 1 cup onion.
  • ½ cup green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika.
  • 1 cup sour cream.
  • ½ small cup black pepper powder.
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon olive oil.
  • 2 cups of chicken broth.
  • 1 teaspoon plain flour.
  • Salt ( as required).
  • Water ( if required).
  • Cilantro (chopped for garnish).

Step By Step Instructions To Make Chicken Paprika
  1. Take chicken breast and apply salt and black pepper powder to chicken breast.
  2. And then rub the salt and black pepper powder and rub the chicken pieces on both sides.
  3. Then take a pan and place it on gas on medium flame then add olive oil and let it spread out in pan once the oil is hot then add the chicken in the pan and cook until it turns into brown color once the chicken is browned on one side flip the chicken to another side cook the chicken until it turns in golden brown then remove it from pan and keep aside.
  4. Then this pan add onion, bell pepper and give nice stir and reduce the gas flame and cook onion and bell pepper for 5 minutes by covering lid after 5 minutes remove the lid and sauté it onion and bell pepper until it turns in to brown once the onions started caramelized then add paprika and mix it well.
  5. Then add plain flour, and sauté it for a minute then add chicken broth and salt and mix all the mixture boil it once the mixture is started boiling then add chicken breast and cook it for 30 to 35 minutes on the medium-low flame ( add water if there is a need).
  6. After that add sour cream and mix it well.
  7. Then remove the chicken paprika in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro.
  8. Serve it with rice or noodles.

This nice recipe served with the mashed potatoes, egg noodles, brown basmati rice, With a green salad, Buttered noodles.
