Ingredients needed to make Chicken chow mein

To make the chicken chow mein recipe we need soya sauce, oyster sauce, ginger garlic paste,  black pepper powder, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil,  vegetables, chicken pieces, chow mein noodles etc.

  • 150-gram chicken breast pieces.
  • 200 gram cooked chow mein noodles.
  • 3 teaspoons Shaoxing wine ( 1 teaspoon for marination and 2 teaspoons for main recipe ).
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce.
  • 1 cup chopped carrot.
  • 1 cup chopped capsicum.
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil.
  • Salt ( as per taste ).

The process of making Chicken chow mein

  • The chicken chow mein recipe is very simple and unique and we are going to see how to make a chicken chow mein recipe.
  • While making the chicken chow mein recipe firstly take chicken pieces in one medium bowl and then add 1 teaspoon of Shaoxing win, 1 teaspoon of soya sauce, black pepper powder, and salt ( as required ) and mix all the ingredients well and cover it and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Now take one pan and keep it on medium flame and then add sesame oil to it, once the oil is getting hot add finely chopped onion and saute it until turns golden brown in color.
  • After that add ginger garlic paste it and saute for a second then add carrot and capsicum and stir fry it for 2 to 3 minutes add the marinated chicken pieces and again stir fry it for 2 minutes and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Now add  Shaoxing wine, soya sauce, oyster sauce, and salt  ( as required ) and mix it well now add cooked noodles and mix it well and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  • Your Chinese-style chicken chow mein is ready to serve,  remove it from the serving plate and serve it with sauce.
