Mongolian chicken is the super easy and delicious dish that is ready in half an hour that makes your lunch as well as dinner. When I tasted this dish at the Chinese restaurant I fall in love with this dish and then I decided to make this recipe at home. I tried this recipe many times at home and I succeed in this every time and my family member ready to eat this recipe any time and I prepare this recipe for my family at any time. This is the sweet, spicy, salty and crispy dish in which chicken is marinated and coated with sweet sauce so it is an amazing sweet and savory Asian dish. With my busy schedule, I prefer this recipe because it is ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients To Make Mongolian Chicken
  • 2 cups chicken breast ( sliced into bite-sized chunks).
Ingredients for marinating
  • ½  teaspoon light soy sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar.
  • 1 egg (egg white).
Ingredients for sauce
  • ½ tablespoon dark soy sauce.
  •  ½ tablespoon brown sugar.
  • 2 ½  tablespoon chicken stock.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sesame oil.
Additional ingredients
  • ½ tablespoon chopped garlic.
  • 3 teaspoon chopped ginger.
  • 1 green chili.
  • 6 spring onion.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil.

The Process To Make Mongolian Chicken

This sweet, salty, spicy, crispy and delicious dish includes three steps these are as follows with details.
  1. Marinate.
  2. Making sauce.
  3. Final dish/ main dish.
Method I
  • Firstly, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized chunks.
  • Then this sliced chicken breast transfer in a bowl.
  • Then in chicken breast add light soy sauce, cornflour, brown sugar, and white egg and mix this all the mixture and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Method II 

  • In method second I am preparing a sauce for Mongolian chicken.
  • Take one bowl and then add dark soy sauce, brown sugar, chicken stock, black pepper powder and sesame oil mix it well and keep aside.

Method III

  • Now, its time to make a final dish.
  • Firstly cut the spring onions into 1 inch in length.
  • Then finely chop ginger and garlic.
  • Then chop green chili – firstly deseed the chili and then cut it into thin threads.
  • After chopping heat the pan on medium-high flame and once the pan is hot then add olive oil once the olive is got hot then add marinated chicken in it and stir and sauté it for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Then add ginger, garlic, chili and some chopped spring onions fry it for minutes.
  • Add sauce mixture in chicken stir and fry for few minutes and add remaining chopped spring onion and mix it.
  • Finally, serve and enjoy the dish.

Serving Ideas:

 I usually enjoy this dish with noodles or simply with plain rice.

Tips To Make Mongolian Chicken
  • Use the tenderize chicken it makes soft and tastes juicy.
  • Serve the chicken immediately after cooking.
  • You can use your favorite vegetables like broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower or mushrooms in Mongolian chicken.
