Easy Chicken Chop Suey Recipe

This tasty stir-fried chicken chop suey is an easy and quick recipe with a simple ingredients list. Chicken chop suey recipe is fully loaded with tender and juicy pieces of chicken, veggies and brown sauce. This delicious chop suey is always been my favorite dish available at any Chinese restaurant. This recipe is unique because in this recipe we can change the meat or veggies to suit our taste.

Ingredients needed to make chicken chop suey

Ingredients for marinating

  • 250 grams skinless and boneless chicken breast (chopped).
  • 1 tsp cornflour.
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder.
  • Salt (to taste).

Ingredients for making the sauce

  • 1 cup of chicken stock.
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce.
  • 1 tsp soya sauce.
  • 1 tsp vinegar.
  • 1 ½ tsp cornflour (to make a slurry)

Other ingredients

  • Oil (divided)
  • 1 tsp garlic (finely chopped).
  • 1 packet noodles.
  • 1 cup onion slices.
  • ½ cup cabbage(chopped).
  • ½ cup carrot (chopped).
  • ½ cup capsicum (chopped).
  • 1 egg.

Instructions to make chicken chop suey

Process 1: marinate chicken

  • Take one large bowl and add chicken, cornflour,  ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, Salt (to taste) mix all the ingredients well.
  • Keep aside.

Process 2:   fried crispy noodles

  • Firstly take noodles and boil for 5 minutes and drain the water from noodles.
  • After that fry the noodles until it crispy (fry the noodles in round shape).
  • Crispy fried noodles are ready.

Process :  3 prepare sauce

  • Firstly make cornflour slurry.
  • Take a half cup of water and then add cornflour and mix it well
  • After that take a chicken stock  and add  tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and cornflour slurry and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Your sauce is ready.

Process  4: final recipe

  • Take a pan and heat it on medium flame then add 1 ½  tablespoon oil  once oil is getting hot add chopped garlic and sauté it for a minute then add marinated chicken and cook it for 5 to 6 minutes stir it in between after that add onion slices,  cabbage, carrot, capsicum and sauté it for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Then add prepared sauce and salt mix it well and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Your chicken chop suey is ready to serve.

Process 5: serving idea

  • Take one dish and place the crispy noodles on its and top up your chicken chop suey on crispy noodles and place the half fried egg omelet on chicken chop suey.
