Ingredients needed to make chicken kofta curry

Ingredients for kofta

  • 2 boneless and skinless chicken breast ( minced).
  • ½ teaspoon pepper powder.
  • 3 tablespoon bread crumbs.
  • 2 nos chopped green chilies.
  • 2 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander.
  • Salt to taste.

Ingredients for gravy

  • 1 large onion (sliced).
  • 1 medium size onion(chopped)
  • 2 large tomatoes(sliced).
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
  • 2 tablespoon cashew nuts.
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon red chili powder.
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Oil.

Step by step process to make chicken kofta curry

  • Firstly mince the chicken until it smooth.
  • In a mixing bowl add minced chicken, pepper powder, bread crumbs, chopped green chilies, freshly chopped coriander and salt mix it well and make balls of the mixture and keep aside.
  • Then heat the pan add 2 teaspoons of oil and the oil is getting heated then add sliced onion and sliced tomatoes cook it for 5 minutes on medium flame then add cashew nuts and again cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Wait until it cool once it is cool remove it in the grinder and make a fine paste and keep aside
  • Heat the oil and fry the chicken balls until it fully cooked and turns golden brown.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining balls.
  • Now heat the pan and add 1 tablespoon oil once the oil is getting hot then add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and sauté it for a minute.
  • Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala mix well after that add tomato, onion, and cashew paste mix it and add some water and cook the gravy by covering the lid.
  • Once gravy started boiling add chicken kofta balls and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes
  • Stir it and cook it for another 2 to 3 minutes and switch of the flame( cook it on low flame).
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve it.

Serving suggestions

  • This delicious chicken curry served with butter naan, garlic naan, plain rice, or jeera rice.
