Chicken breast  : Chicken is the main ingredient of this recipe. use chopped chicken breast because it is soft and juicier.

Veggies: Use more veggies it tastes amazing, veggies like carrots, celery, potato, green chilies, and tomato.

Coconut milk: I have place coconut milk as key ingredients because it gives a juicy and creamy taste to the recipe.

Ingredients needed to make chicken stew

  • 250 gm chicken breast with bones (chopped in bite-size pieces).
  • 1 cup carrots (diced).
  • ½ cup celery (chopped).
  • 1 potato (diced).
  • 1 large onion (chopped).
  • 1 tomato (chopped).
  • 1 red and 1 green chili (chopped).
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
  • 100 ml coconut milk.
  • ½ cup chicken stock.
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder.
  • Salt to taste ( as required ).
  • Oil ( as required ).

Step by step process to make chicken stew recipe

Now we will see how to make chicken stew at home with easy step by step instructions

  1. Firstly  take chicken pieces and marinate the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Apply the salt and pepper powder and rub it for 2 to 3 minutes and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes to marinate.
  2. After 10 to 15 minutes heat the pan and add 3 to 4 teaspoon oil in it and once oil is hot then add chicken pieces one by one and cook it until turns golden brown and fully cooked  ( cook it from both sides).
  3. Remove the chicken pieces on a plate and keep aside.
  4. Now take deep Kadai and heat the 2 tablespoon oil once oil is getting hot add ginger-garlic paste and stir for a second then immediately add onion and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes or until the onion turns golden brown in color.
  5. Then add ginger garlic paste and cook for a second  after that immediately add red and green chili both together and sauté it for a minute.
  6. Now  add all chopped veggies like tomato, celery, carrot and potato cook all the veggies for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Now add red chili powder and mix it well ( red chili gives a nice color to the recipe ).
  8. Now add delicious and juicy cooked chicken pieces in it and mix up all the ingredients.
  9. Then add salt ( as required ), half a cup of chicken stock, and coconut milk mix it and cook it for 7 to 8 minutes on medium flame by covering the lid once the chicken is fully cooked switch of the flame.
  10. Remove this amazing and tasty chicken stew in a bowl and serve it hot
