The chicken Shami kabab recipe is made with a simple and easy recipe made with minced chicken, chana dal, and spices.  All the ingredients are blended in a blender and make a fine paste and then prepare takkies and shallow fry it.

Now we are going to see what are ingredients needed to make chicken Shami kabab and how to make chicken kababs step by step.

Ingredients needed to make the Chicken Shami kabab recipe

  • 500 gms chicken breast ( minced ).
  • 1 cup of chana dal.
  • 2 to 3 dry red chilies.
  • 1 teaspoon of red chili powder.
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of garam masala powder.
  • ½ teaspoon of coriander powder.
  • 2 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste.
  • Oil ( as needed ).
  • Salt ( as per taste ).
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh coriander ( finely chopped ).

The process to make chicken Shami kabab recipe

  • Firstly take chana dal and aad in one bowl and wash the dal properly and rinse water and again add water and soak the chana dal for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Now take one pan and heat it on medium flame and then add 1 teaspoon of oil and then add minced chicken, chana dal, ginger garlic paste, red dry chilies, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, and mix all the ingredients well and add half cup of water and mix it well and cook it for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Then switch off the flame and wait until it fully turns cold. now add salt ( as per taste ) and finely chopped coriander and mix it well.
  • Then apply oil to hands and make small takkies ( make the patties size takkies ) and keep aside for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Now again heat the pan and  1 to 1 ½ tablespoon of oil, once the oil is getting hot then add one by one prepared takkies and shallow fry it for 7 to 8 minutes until it turns golden brown color.
  • After that add the remaining takkies and shallow fry them.
  • Your tasty chicken Shami kabab is ready to serve, we can serve this recipe with tomato sauce.

Chicken Shami kabab is served as a snack or also served as a side dish for dinner and lunch. We can serve this recipe with green chutney, red chutney, schezwan chutney, and tomato sauce. if you serve this recipe for lunch or dinner then you can serve this recipe with roti, chapati, naan, or plain rice.
