Ingredients needed to make chicken waffles recipe

We need some ingredients to make chicken waffles and the ingredients are very simple that is easily available at any grocery shop.

  • 250 grams of skinless and boneless chicken breast
  • 2 eggs.
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour or cornstarch.
  • 1 ½ cups of buttermilk.
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder.
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme.
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning.
  • Salt ( as needed ).
  • 1 or 2 waffles ( homemade or store brought ).
  • Oil for deep frying  ( as needed ).
  • 1 cup maple syrup or pancake syrup.
  • 1 cube of salted butter.

The process to make chicken waffles

  • Firstly take the boneless and skinless chicken breast and wash the chicken and then dry it with soft cotton cloths.
  • Now thin the size of the chicken breast by making two parts of one chicken breast and apply the same process to the remaining breast.
  • Then take chicken breast on a plate and then season the breast pieces  and rub for 5 minutes on both sides of the chicken breast and keep aside for 8 to 10 minutes
  • Now take one empty bowl and then add egg and beat it with the help of a beater then add butter milk, hot sauce, and salt ( as needed ) and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now add the chicken pieces to the mixture and cover it nicely and keep aside for 2 hours by covering the lid.
  • Now on a plate take all-purpose flour and add black pepper powder, ground thyme, and salt and mix it well.
  • Then in the flour mixture deep the marinated chicken breast and coat both sides of the chicken breast.
  • After that heat, the frying pan on high flame and oil into it once the oil is getting hot then add marinated and coated chicken breast and fry both sides until it turns golden brown and remove it from the plate.
  • While serving take the waffle on a plate and then make slices of fried chicken breast and place it on the waffle then pour the maple syrup or pancake syrup and serve it.

Serving ideas/suggestions

  • We can eat these crunchy, tasty, and healthy chicken waffles as it is but we can eat this with fried broccoli, french fries, chicken fingers, and with mashed potatoes.
