Main ingredients
- 500 gms chicken breast ( chopped ).
- 4 to 5 cups of coconut milk.
- 2 to 3 Thai basil leaves.
- 4 to 5 kaffir lime leaves.
- Salt ( as per taste).
- 1 green capsicum ( chopped ).
- 1 carrot ( chopped ).

- 1 ½ tablespoon coriander leaves, stems, and roots ( chopped ).
- 2 teaspoon Thai ginger.
- ½ tablespoon garlic.
- 1 tablespoon green chilies ( chopped ).
- 1 teaspoon lemon cover crush.
- ½ tablespoon lemongrass ( chopped ).
- 1 cup chopped onion.
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh turmeric.
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder.
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
The process to make a green curry
chicken recipe
- In this recipe I am going to use homemade Thai curry paste, firstly we will see how to make that curry paste at home.
- Now take one grinder pot and add coriander leaves, stems and roots, thai ginger, garlic, green chilies, lemon cover crush, lemongrass, onion, fresh turmeric, cumin powder, and coriander powder, and lastly add salt ( as per taste ). Now make a fine paste and keep it aside.
- Now heat the pan on medium flame and add half a cup of coconut milk and cook until it is medium thick in consistency. now add the Thai curry paste and cook it for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Then add coconut milk and mix it well and boil it for 2 to 3 minutes then add chicken, capsicum, carrot, basil leaves kaffir lime leaves and mix it well. Lastly, add salt if needed and mix all ingredients well and cook it for 15 to 20 minutes until chicken and veggies turn soft texture. ( note: cook the curry by covering the lid ).
- After 15 to 20 minutes switch off the flame and remove the green curry chicken recipe in the bowl and serve hot with roti, naan, or any flavored rice or plain rice.
