Ingredients needed to make chicken keema biryani recipe

  • ½ kg chicken breast ( minced ).
  • 4 tbsp yogurt.
  • ½ tsp red chili powder.
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 kg basmati full-grain rice.
  • 3 tsp coriander powder.
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste.
  • 300 gm onion.
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree.
  • 5 green cardamom, 1 black cardamom, 6 cloves, 7-8 peppercorns, 2 bay leaves, cumin, and star anise.
  • 2 tsp red chili powder.
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder.
  • 2 tbsp refined oil.
  • 2 tsp ghee.
  • salt ( as per taste ).

The process to make the chicken keema biryani recipe

  • To marinate minced chicken add yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt ( as per taste ) mix all the mixture well and keep the chicken for 10-15 minutes to marinate.
  • Now Take full-grain basmati rice and wash it and soak it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Then take one pot add water in that and then salt and spices like green cardamom,  black cardamom, 6cloves,  peppercorn,  bay leaves, star anise and wait until it boils when water turns to boil then add washed and soaked rice in it and cook the rice on high flame for 5 to 6 minutes(Cook the rice until 70% done).
  • After that switch off the flame and strain the water from the rice with the help of a strainer and spread the rice on the plate to cool.
  • For giving dum to the chicken keema biryani take a heavy bottom pot and add ghee and oil together once ghee and oil get heated then add ginger garlic paste and chopped onion fry until it starts to pick the golden color. then add marinated chicken with garam masala powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and some whole spices like bay leaves, cardamom, and cumin seeds mix all the mixture and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes.
  • Now spread steamed rice on gravy and give dum for 10 to 15 minutes on medium-low flame.
  • Now switch off the flame and remove it to a serving bowl and garnish with freshly chopped coriander and serve it.
