What Is Chicken 65?
It is marinated in yogurt and
spices and flavored with tomato ketchup. It is a spicy popular south Indian
appetizer originated in hotel Buhari in Chennai. This awesome combination of
marinated chicken and spicy sauces is sure to be loved by all.

Ingredients Needed To Make The Recipe
- 250 grams skinless and boneless chicken breast ( chopped in bite-size pieces).
- Oil for deep frying.
Ingredients needed for marinate
- 1 egg white.
- 1 tablespoon cornflour.
- 3 tablespoon yogurt (curd).
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder.
- ¼ teaspoon cumin powder.
- 3 tablespoon coriander powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
- 2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
- salt as required.
Sauce and other ingredients
- 4 tablespoon tomato sauce.
- 1 tablespoon red chili sauce.
- 2 to 3 slit green chilies.
- 6 to 7 curry leaves.
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic.
- ½ teaspoon food color (optional).
Step By Step Process To Make Chicken 65
Step 1 prepare for marinating
Step 1 prepare for marinating
- For marination take one large bowl and add chopped chicken, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, egg white, cornflour, yogurt.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- And keep it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.
Step 2 deep frying
- After marinating chicken for 3 to 4 hours remove it from the refrigerator.
- Then heat the oil for deep frying once oil getting hot then add the chicken one by one.
- Don’t add all chicken in one batch ( fry it in 2 to 3 batches).
- Remove it on tissue paper and keep aside.
Step 3 mixing sauces and chicken
- Then heat the pan and add 2 teaspoon oil in it.
- Once the oil is hot then add minced garlic and sauté it for second after that add green chilies and curry leaves and stir it for a minute then add red chili sauce, green chili sauce, and red food color and mix it well and then add fried chicken mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes on high flame ( stir the chicken continuously).
- Your chicken 65 is ready to serve .
