Easy and simple chicken fajitas are one of my favorite weeknight dinners because they are on the table in 30 minutes. I make the chicken recipes for my family and my family likes all my chicken recipes. So I always looking for tasty and interesting chicken recipes.
This is a quick recipe marinated in the juicy lime marinade and seared for the perfect crisp. The chicken fajitas are spicy, colorful and loaded with full of flavor. Chicken fajitas are a simple recipe and the seasoning part is amazing. Pan-fried bell peppers and onions and then sauté the chicken mix it well and serve it.

What Is Chicken Fajitas?

It is one pan recipe you all have gotta season, sear and cook a couple of chicken breasts and then quickly sauté some bell peppers and onion. This is a quick recipe ready in 30 minutes and you can serve them with toppings of lettuce, sour cream, cheese or avocado slices with wrap in a tortilla.


Chicken Thighs Or Chicken Breast?

This recipe comes out better with chicken breast. This is a personal choice but I use chicken breast for better results.

Chicken: I use boneless and skinless chicken breast in this recipe.

Veggies:  I use bell pepper and onion. I like to use a different color of bell peppers (red, yellow and green) because it looks nice and interesting.

Spices: I use black pepper powder, Chili powder, oregano,  Cumin powder, garlic powder, sweet paprika and  Salt to taste.

How To Make Chicken Fajitas?
  • Firstly  make spices mixture for seasoning.
  • Season the chicken pieces with spices mixture,
  • Then pan fry the chicken and veggies.

Ingredients Needed To Make Chicken Fajitas
  • 2 skinless and boneless chicken breast(sliced).
  • 1 tablespoon oil.
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice.

Spices needed to make chicken fajitas
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder.
  • ½ teaspoon oregano.
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika.
  • Salt to taste.

Veggies needed to make chicken fajitas
  • 3 bell peppers ( 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 green)(sliced).
  • 1 red onion ( sliced).

Step By Step Process To Make Chicken Fajitas
  1. Firstly marinate the chicken in lemon juice and salt.
  2. In a bowl add chicken, lemon juice and salt and mix it well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Take one bowl and mix all the spices together (½ teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon Chili powder, ½ teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon Cumin powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder and  1  teaspoon sweet paprika).
  4. Take another large bowl and add marinated chicken and spice mixture and mix it well.
  5. Then heat the pan on high flame then add oil in a pan once the oil is hot lower the gas flame and add spice seasoned chicken and stir fry it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  6. And then cook the chicken by covering lid on low flame for 5 to 6 minutes.
  7. After 6 minutes remove the chicken in the plate and keep aside.
  8. And again add 2 to 3 teaspoon oil and add sliced veggies like bell peppers and onion and stir fry for 5 minutes on high flame and after 5 minutes lower the flame and add cooked chicken in it and sprinkle some salt and black pepper powder and mix it well.
  9. Chicken fajitas are ready to eat.
  10. Serve chicken fajitas with sour cream or cheese wrapping in a tortilla.

  • You can serve this spicy and tasty chicken fajitas served with pasta or with fresh salad.
